California Society of the Sons of the American Revolution Gen. George S. Patton, Jr., Chapter Minutes of the September 13, 2002, Meeting

The September 2002 meeting of the General George S. Patton, Jr., Chapter of the CASSAR was held in the Library of the Berylwood Officers Club on Friday, September 13, 2002. The meeting was called to order by President Jay C. Wood at 12:00 p.m. Following the Invocation, Pledge of Allegiance, and SAR Pledge, members and guest adjourned to the buffet for lunch. Fifteen Compatriots were present:  President Wood, John Bayles, Frank Budroe, Alan D. Buckley, Joseph Coffman, John Darnall, Hale Hamilton, Richard Hawley, Ed Holt, Edwin C. Holt, J. Stephen Hurst, James Morrow, Robert Nedry, Ronald Risley, and William Scruggs.  Four guests were present:  Willette Budroe, Robert Taylor, Ken Wooten, and  Rosemarie Risley.

President Wood reconvened the meeting at 12:45 p.m.

Committee Reports

• Secretary: The Minutes of the August 2002 meeting were submitted and approved.
• Treasurer: The Treasurer's Report for August 2002 was approved, subject to audit.

Old Business

No old business was reported.

New Business

• Introduction of Prospective Member: Robert Taylor was introduced as a prospective new member.
• Information Items: Compatriot Nedry reported that the Point Magu Honor's Office can assist in military honor teams for memorial services.

Following the business meeting, President Wood presented a recorded recitation of the amendments to the U.S. Constitution from The Living Constitution of the United States. 

After the SAR Recessional and Benediction, the meeting was adjourned.
